5 day Gorilla Tour Rwanda, Gorilla Trekking Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival, you will take a short tour of Kigali to the genocide memorial center, later proceed to Virunga Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking - first round

After breakfast, head to the park head quarters for brifing about gorilla trekking and head to the forest for this wonderful wilflife experience in Africa. Gorillas are great apes in Africa whose DNA is proved to be 99% that of humans, these gentle giants can be visited in Rwanda, Uganda or DR Congo. To find the gorillas normally takes 2-6 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas that day. You are allowed a maximum of 1 hour with the gorillas; watch, photograph and film them at your own convinience.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Exclusive

This time you shall enjoy an exhausting gorilla trek, getting all the details about the gorilla family you track. The rules to find and see the gorillas stay the same as the day before. Have your packed lunch in the forest and later return to the lodge.

Day 4: Visit Dian Fossey Grave, the Gorilla Girl

We shall trek to the grave of the famous american researcher who devoted a part of her life researching about the life of mountain gorillas. Overnight at Virunga lodge.

Day 5: Drive back to Kigali to fly out

Wake up in the morning after breakfast and then drive to Kigali for your flight back home.
